January 2020 monthly sales and use tax returns are due on or before Thursday, February 20, 2020. You must file a tax return even if you do not owe tax.

If you file a paper return, your return and payment must be postmarked or hand-delivered by Thursday, February 20, 2020.

If you electronically pay only or you electronically file and pay at the same time, you must initiate your electronic payment and receive a confirmation number no later than 5:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, February 19, 2020.

Tax returns and payments sent after the due dates noted above are subject to penalty and interest. Failure to receive a due date reminder is not grounds for waiver of penalties and interest charged for late filing or payment.
