Roger Geiger: An Independent Business Perspective
An interview with Roger Geiger of NFIB.
Roger Geiger is the Vice President and Ohio Executive Director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). With a focus on public policy, politics, and member engagement, Roger is a leading advocate for small businesses in Ohio.
Roger Geiger has been with NFIB since 1989, holding various leadership roles. As Vice President and Ohio Executive Director, he manages public policy, political, member activism, and communication programs. Recognized as one of the “Power 100 Most Influential Leaders” in Columbus, Roger represents NFIB with national policy organizations and regularly speaks on small business issues. His contributions include appointments by four governors to various state boards and commissions, such as the Ohio Commission to Reform Medicaid and the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Nominating Council.
Prior to joining NFIB, Roger served as Manager of Governmental Affairs for Browning-Ferris Industries of Ohio and as a Legislative Assistant in the Ohio House of Representatives. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from Xavier University and an MBA from The Ohio State University.
